Jessica Nash
She was alone, unable to drive, and found life in painting. Nash paints intuitively. She delights in landscape and paints within walking distance of her home. The sea and sky is the greatest source of inspiration for her. Immersing herself in observing these forms and colours. Increasingly attracted to the wildness of the nature that surrounded her. The forces of nature. They have a lyrical quality. The seasons. The muted natural colours being tranquil yet cold and isolating. Weather is uncontrollable. Landscapes from a low position. She paints without brushes and with her hands and fingers feeling the paint on the canvas.
The erosion of the coastline. An interest in natural processes.
The fall of light and the mood of a painting.
