Laurel Gray

Large fields of flat, solid colour stain the canvas creating unbroken surface and a flat plane. A reduced emphasis on gesture, rejecting brushstrokes and action in favour of overall consistency of form and process. Colour becomes the subject, freed from the objective context. Landscapes breaking apart into abstract shapes. Atmospheric works and moving contemplations.
